The long pending demand for a second flight to the state Capital from Belagavi will be met on October 30, as Indigo will start its second Flight to Bengaluru then.
Currently Indigo is the only operator which flies to the state’s capital and the prices have shot up.
For instance see the image, for October 30, the price is showing is about 16000, which seems to be very high.
Such kinds of prices are normally seen when one is booking 3-4 days in advance.
There will be no cap on air ticket prices from August 31, and airlines will have flexibility in fixing the airfares.
Airlines will have the freedom to decide on air ticket prices, according to the prevailing market situations. They may raise prices during the festive season as higher fares will add to the margins.
There has been a fall in passenger traffic by 29% in July 2022 when compared to June 2022.
At the same time 12% fewer flights also flew from here.

Sir if we go by with four person we can reach Bangalore in 6 to 7 hours and above all on our desire destination.
From Belgaum we we have to reach one hour before the flight to Airport. One hour journey and Bangalore airport is 70 kilometres away from city. Traffic in Bangalore is too much means we have spend atleast two hours in traffic. Total 4 to hours to reach our destination, the rent to tax is 15000 for four passengers means 3750 passenger. Which is better,?
Bengaluru to Belagavi by train distance is 611 km. Time is 10 hours.
Fare for trains from Bengaluru to Belgaum is Rs 205 in Second Seater (2S), Rs 755 in Chair Car (CC), Rs 2235 in First AC (1A), Rs 1340 in Second AC (2A), Rs 345 in Sleeper (SL) and Rs 940 in Third AC (3A) in general quota.
By Air, it will take 4 hours between the two cities. Volvo will charge you 250 Rs.
Verymuch appreciated..passengers should think practically, then they have to decide. No depending on A/C,
Four of us decide and drive freely, any time.
Hope this is not downfall of Belgavi Airport… Bengaluru route is most busiest one and prices are not covered under UDAN.
It is surprising that Indigo is charging 16000/- from Belgaum to Bangalore evening after withdrawing the cap. Whereas Indigo is charging 7500/- from Lucknow to Goa. . Lucknow to Delhi is maximum 5500/- for a distance of 550 KM. Guess who and how the decide the fares.
