As a prelude to the Investors Meet scheduled in Bengaluru this February , the district administration, in association with the District Industries Centre and various industrial and commerce associations, will organise district-level investors meet at the Central Hall of Suvarna Vidhana Soudha here on January 7 at 10.30 AM.
Speaking at a press conference Deputy Commissioner N. Jayaram said that 400 prospective investors had confirmed their participation in the meet from different parts of the state and neighbouring states Maharashtra and Goa. Around 1500-2000 crores investment is expected from the meet generating around 10,000 employment.
Main area of focus would be investment in food processing, textile, basic metal industries, general manufacture units, automobile and service sectors.
