Channappa Waggannavar, Belgaum district spokesperson of JD(S) has accused former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa of denotifying 14 acres of land on Belgaum outskirts, allegedly to benefit a party colleague. He said he is doing citing the reply obtained through RTI.
BUDA had identified 144 acres and 33 guntas of land for housing projects at Hindalga and the government notified it in June 2007. Shankargouda Patil of the BJP wrote to the then CM BSY to denotify 14 acres of land, which the BSY Govt did stating owners of these lands were poor.
However Shankargouwda Patil has scraped the allegations.
