Various Kannada organizations today held a meeting and the Federation of Kannada Organisations President Ashoka Chandragi addressing the media said that they should be given permission for the procession.
As of now, the administration has not given permission for the procession.
Deputy Commissioner MG Hiremath earlier this week said that permission for the procession will be given as per the Covid guidelines and all people should cooperate with the authorities.
Also Hiremath while holding a review meeting for the Rajyotsava celebrations has announced that the administration will not allow observation of the ‘Black Day’ on Kannada Rajyotsava,
The various organizations said that when elections can happen why can’t the celebrations happen?
As of now permission has not been granted and the organisations have given a deadline of Oct 22 to resolve the matter.
