The Karnataka state government, by its orders dated July 27, 2018, has ordered shifting of KSHIP (KARNATAKA STATE HIGHWAYS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ) -Belagavi division office to Hassan and subdivision offices to Madikeri.
The office was located at Havannavar Building, Club Road, Near Jyothi College, Belagavi and as per the order, it will now be shifted to Hassan.
In another order issued on August 7, 2018, works coming under the purview of KSHIP Belagavi subdivision have been handed over to Gokak subdivision.
Last week when there was a loud cry for a separate North Karnataka, CM Kumarswamy had promised to shift of some offices to Belagavi and he now these orders of shifting a divisional office from Belagavi to Hassan is shocking.
CM makes statements of making Belagavi as the second capital and instead of getting new offices here is shifting the ones already functioning.
