Land Acquisition for Dharwad-Kittur-Belagavi Railway Line Nears Completion, Tendering Soon

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan has confirmed that land acquisition for the Dharwad-Kittur-Belagavi railway line has progressed rapidly over the last five months. The said Railway line will join at Desur Station.

Of the total 1,200 acres required, 600 acres each have been acquired in two phases. He stated that within a month, the remaining acquisition work—approximately 700 acres for which the final notification has already been issued—will also be completed.

The 73-kilometer railway line, which passes through Kittur, has been approved on a cost-sharing basis between the Indian Railways and the Government of Karnataka. Once land acquisition is finalized, the Railways is expected to float tenders immediately and begin compensating landowners without delay.

The New Dharwad-Kittur-Belagavi line will have the following stations

1) Belagavi 2) Desur 3) Kanvikarvinkoppa 4) Bagewadi 5) M.K. Hubballi 6) Hulikatti 7) Kittur 8) Teguru 9) Mammigatti 10) Kyarakoppa 11) Dharwad

  1. When acquisition gets completed and when you will start. Somanna sir being such a nice worker is not taking sufficient interest to speed up projects nor launch new trains. Had angadi sir been there, the project would have completed by now. Somanna sir show your charishma
