It seems a fresh wave of headlines about the Bengaluru–Belagavi Vande Bharat train has sparked confusion once again — and it all stems from a routine letter sent by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
The letter, addressed to Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, is almost identical to ones sent to other MPs like V. Somanna, acknowledging their request and stating that a new Bengaluru–Belagavi Vande Bharat has been “planned” and will start from Belagavi in the morning.
While this is indeed a positive confirmation, let’s not mistake it for a fresh sanction or official schedule release.
Interestingly, a media portal jumped on the story, publishing a supposed time schedule — one that matches the old, previously trial-run schedule from years ago, not any new approval. That version had a morning start from Belagavi and mid-day arrival in Bengaluru, which is still being considered due to operational constraints.
So, what does the letter actually mean?
✔️ It confirms that the Belagavi-origin Vande Bharat train is still in planning
✔️ It will likely start early morning from Belagavi
❌ No new official schedule has been sanctioned yet
❌ The viral timing shared is not new, but recycled from an earlier trial phase
This cautious optimism is welcome — but citizens and portals alike must wait for a proper Zonal Railway timetable release before celebrating prematurely.
Its better if Belgaum railway is put under different zone. either Goa or pune.

What about belgaum to mumbai vande Bharat
Why can’t a new vande bharat be started from Belgaum to Bangalore or a new sleeper vande bharat from belgaum to bangalore rather than extending dharwad to bangalore vande bharat, which is running almost full. Before being asked, you railway department puts new trains to Chennai, Though BJP flounders to get single seat. We continuously send BJP MP. Then why such step motherly treatment to Karnataka. Is it we need to rethink voting BJP

While Vande Bharat operates from Bengaluru to Pune via Belagavi without any hitch… Y so fuss of train starting from Belagavi.. all politically motivated.
Earlier the better
Bangalore belgaum Vande Bharat is undoubtedly superb plan. But timing of the train is not convenient. Many people travel from Bangalore to Belgaum. If the train leaves Belgaum in the afternoon then we can reach Belgaum in the evening. Many people who are working in Bangalore they are from surrounding area of belgaum district and usually travel from Bangalore to Belgaum. They have to catch different transport for their native. If we reach Belgaum in the evening it is suitable to go their native for all working people. Currently train time is morning almost 5.30. I think it should be in the evening 2 or 3 o clock.
What is the timings of Vande Bharat train for Belagavi from Margao railway station in the mornings and back from Belagavi.? Please let us know.
