The second hand market (Modka Bazar) set up at what is popularly known as Laxmi Market near Khanjar Galli, has been demolished this morning.
The said piece of land owned by the city corporation was being used as Laxmi market.
After this acquisition this piece of land could be eventually turned in to a car parking lot which has been on papers for over 3 years now.
The said car parking was on the anvil since many years but now sources have confirmed that the corporation had taken firm steps to create the same at the earliest.
It must be recalled that the current car parking in Bapat Galli was made after the Modka bazar was shifted from there.Â
