Library at Veer Soudha inaugurated

Library at the Veer Soudha Tilakwadi (Congress Well) was inaugurated recently by MLA South Sambhaji Patil. The library has a rare collection of nearly 300 books on freedom fighters and Gandhi.

Veer Soudha is the memorial built to commemorate the 1924 congress session held at Belgaum where Mahatma Gandhi was the president of the Congress.
The built up area on ground floor of the library will be 870.27 Sqft.The estimates cost of the project is Rs.16,64,815 and the work has been finished on time.

In February 2012, we had made a story Library to be built at Veer Soudha.

More books will be added to the library which will will be open from 8am to 2pm and from 4pm to 8pm. It will remain open on Sunday, but will be closed on Monday.

  2. Since my grandfather was a freedom fighter (Dr.Jaydev rao Kulkarni). I have many books on freedom struggle, some handwritten letters and photographs which i would like to give. Whom do i contact?
