Elections to Belgaum city corporation along with other 6 corporations and 201 City Municipals Councils, Town Municipal Councils and Town Panchayats across the State will be held on March 7, the State Election Commission (SEC) on Thursday announced.
State Election Commissioner C.R.Chikkamath said that the results would be announced on March 11. The code of conduct for the elections will come into effect from Friday morning and the elections would be held based on the 2007 ward-wise reservation.
In December 2011 the Belgaum city corporation was superseded.
