The whole city was jolted by the double murder of two married woman on September 26 in Machhe. The police in just five days have managed to solve the mystery behind this and have arrested 5 persons including a woman.
Rajashree Ravi Bannur (21) and Rohini Gangappa Hulimani (21) who had been for a walk were brutally hacked to death by two persons on a bike at around 4 PM on Sept 26.
Gangappa Hulimani husband of the deceased Rohini knew Kalpana (accused) for a over a year. Kalpanaa had helped Gangappa monetarily when he was in need on money.
But after the marriage of Rohini, her husband Gangappa Hulimani was not responding to the accused Kalpana and hence feeling betrayed she hatched the plot to kill Gangappa’s wife Rohini.
The accused Kalpana informed about hatched plot to her relative Mahesh Naik. Mahesh along with his friend Rahul Patil, Rohit Waddar executed the murder on 26 Sept.

Kalpana Mallesh Basrimard – 35, resident of Kalyanatti
Mahesh alias Mallappa Monappa Naik – 20, of Surte, Tal. Chandgad
Rahul Maruti Patil – Belgundi
Rohit Nagappa Vaddar – 21, Durgamata Colony, Ganeshpur
Shanur Nagappa Bannar- 18, Chawhat Galli, Kalyanatti
Belgaum was not like this earlier ,a peace loving city has turned to a place for greed of Money with no efforts or hardwork.
