The Superintendent of police said that “There is a false news in some TV channels that Mahadayi wall at Kanakumbi has been broken by Girish Mattannavar and group. Our inspector & DAR present at the spot from past one month. The irrigation department is doing some work there. Nothing as mentioned in the TV channels has actually happened. Action will be initiated against those spreading false news.”
DC N Jayram has also denied any such incident happening.
