Main accused arrested in fake RTPCR certificate case from Kolhapur

The Nippani police on duty at the Kognoli check-post have charged as many as 12 persons for producing fake RTPCR certificates.

As per the protocol, all entering the State of Karnataka from Maharashtra must have a Covid negative certificate.
Now the police have arrested the main accused in the racket from Kolhapur.

Abrar Mustak Jamadar aged 32 from Vikram Nagar Kolhapur has been arrested.

The Police laid a trap and went to a ticket booking office in Kolhapur and asked for a ticket to Belagavi. The persons in the booking center can provide an RTPCR negative certificate and the ticket.

When the bus came to Kognoli it was searched and 3 persons were then arrested and now the main accused Abrar has also been arrested.

Nipani police went to Kolhapur and set a trap and arrested Abrar. After further questioning, he was produced before the court and sent to Hindalga Jail.


The action was taken under the guidance of Chikodi Dy SP Basavaraj Yaligar, Nipani Divisional Police Inspector Sangamesh Shivayogi, Nipani Rural Police Station Sub-Inspector Anil Kumbhar, PM Ghasti, Amar Chandanshiv, Shekhar Asode, Raju Nadaf.

  1. I suppose no one has complained yet that this also has become a corruption gate also. Some are collecting Cash to let enter into Karnataka without -ve certificates from other routes.
