The recently held staging of the Marathi play “Sarkha Kahitari Hotay” by the Venugram Academy of Performing Arts Belagavi at the Jirge Hall, KLE Convention Center in Belagavi witnessed an overwhelming turnout from multi-lingual speaking audiences.

Playing to a packed house in the newly upgraded and air-conditioned Jirge Hall, the performance drew spontaneous laughter from the audience in response to the stellar acts by renowned actors Prashant Damle, Varsha Uchgaonkar, and others.

“Sarkha Kahitari Hotay” delves into the dynamics of a typical household, where parents often set aside their interests and work pressures to prioritize their children’s upbringing. However, as children develop their perspectives, a gap emerges between generations, influencing everyday behavior, thoughts, and communication. The play explores the humorous yet relatable challenges faced by families navigating these generational differences.
