The dream project of building a multi level car parking at the Bapat Galli car parking seems to have hit just another road block as the Bell Fluid Mumbai, the company which was awarded the tender has not filed the bank guarantee as yet. The cost of the tender was 4.7 crores for the Hydraulic System Multi Level Car Parking system.
Untill and unless the company files the Bank guarantee the Work order cannot be issued and hence once again the project is on hold.
Sources have told that the company has not responded to the notice as well and hence it is very likely that the contract would be canceled in due course.
Infact in September a team from the company was here and they also did some initial markings and they were supposed to issue the bank guarantee by October first week but they havent still done that.
The Corporation has already taken permission from the Forest dept to chop of the 11 odd trees in the area.
The plans for the same are been made since 2007 or may be even earlier.
