“Nakula” on the three Asiatic lions at the Belagavi Zoo will be open for public viewing tomorrow Thrusday.
The other two lions, Krishna and Nirupama, will soon be open to public viewing at Kittur Rani Channamma Nisargadhama mini zoo at Bhutramanahatti.
The lions are been kept in a glass enclosure from which the visitors would be able to view the majestic king.
The Central Zoo Authority has given permission to the Kittur Rani Chennamma Nisargadhama at Bhutramanhatti to keep Lion, Tiger, Bear, Leopard, Fox, Gaur along with other few animals and birds.
Tigers, leopard, sambar deer, Hyena will be coming to Belagavi soon from Mysuru Zoo.
The 3 Asiatic lions were transferred from Bengaluru Bannerghatta Biological Park in Last week of February which were kept in quarantine on arrival.
The Mini zoo is spread over 34 hectares the mini Zoo was started in 1989.
Open from 10 am to 5 pm.
Closed on Tuesdays

Belagavi has a holiday on tuesday we would request the respective authorities to keep it open on Tuesday… and allot another day as a holiday

Yes the Karnataka is tigers and lions state. I hope this type of wild animals may attract the neighbour tourists…..
