New Humsafar express to connect Belagavi to Tiruchchirapali and Sri Ganganagar

 ‘Humsafar’ Express from Tiruchchirapali to Sri Ganganagar via Belagavi

The new train will be a weekly service leaving Tiruchchirapali on Thursdays and departing Sriganganagar on Tuesdays. Although the timings of the new train in both directions have been announced the exact date of its introduction would be notified later, said railway officials here. As per the proposed timings, the train will leave Tiruchi on Thursday at 11.30 p.m. and reach Sriganganagar on Sunday at 3.15 p.m. In the return direction, the train will leave Sriganganagar on Tuesday at 00.25 a.m. and reach Tiruchi on Thursday at 1.30 p.m.

humsafar trainThe route of the new train with 18 coaches has been finalised to pass via major cities in the western part of the country such as Pune, Surat and Ahmedabad. According to railway information, the new train will proceed via Karur, Namakkal, Salem, Bangarapet, Whitefield, Krishnajapuram, Tumkur, Arsikere, Hubbali, Dharwad, Belagavi, Sangli, Satara, Pune, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch, Anand, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Mahesana, Palanpur, Falna, Sirohi Road, Marwar Junction, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Suratgarh and Hanumangarh.

Humsafar Express are completely 3-tier AC sleeper trains designed by Indian Railways. These are going to be overnight trains with advance facilities. These trains will feature curtains to windows which were removed from 3-tier AC sleepers. These trains will have a LED screen display which will show information about stations, train speed etc and will have announcement system as well. These train will have vending machines for tea, coffee and milk. There are facilities for charging mobiles, laptops etc. The comfort of berths will more comfortable compared with old 3-tier AC sleepers. These trains have bio toilets in compartments to make them eco-friendly. The exterior of train will have a futuristic look with the use of Vinyl sheets. There will be safety majors taken in compartments by introduction of smoke alarms and CCTV cameras.

    If the train has Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches as shown in the image, it would be the first one on our route….
