Night curfew 9 pm to 6 am – Weekend curfew – Whats open and whats closed ?

Night curfew everyday from 9 pm to 6 am , from April 21 to May 4 th across Karnataka . While weekend curfew will start from Friday 9 pm to Monday 6 am

A weekend curfew shall also be enforced from April 23 at 9 pm to Monday at 6 am. Schools, colleges, educational, training and coaching institutions etc. will remain closed. Online learning and distance education shall continue.

All cinema halls, shopping malls, gymnasiums. yoga centres, spas, sports complexes, stadia, swimming pools, entertainment and amusement parks, theatres, bars and auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places will remain closed till May 4. Restaurants and eateries will be permitted to operate and only take home (parcel) is allowed.

Only swimming pools that are approved by the Swimming Federation of lndia can be opened for sports persons and for training purpose only.

All social, political, sports, entertainment, academic, cultural, religious gatherings, other gatherings and large congregations are also prohibited. Stadiums and playgrounds are allowed for organizing sports events and practising purposes, but without spectators.

All religious places/ places of worship shall be closed for the public. However, all personnel engaged in services at the place of worship shall continue to perform their rituals and duties without involving any visitors.

Restrictions:

Essential services like shops, including ration shops (PDS), dealing with food, groceries, fruits and vegetables, dairy and milk booths. meat and fish, animal fodder are permitted.

Wholesale vegetable markets, fruit markets and flower markets shall be permitted to operate from open spaces or playgrounds strictly adhering to COVID-19 appropriate behavior. The shifting process shall be completed by April 22.

Lodging hotels will be open for guests as well. Standalone liquor shops and outlets, bars and restaurants are permitted for takeaway only.

All food processing and related industries are permitted to operate. Banks, insurance offices and ATMs are permitted. Print and electronic media permitted.

Delivery via e-commerce websites will also be permitted.

Prohibited activities:

Schools. collcgcs. educational/ training/ coaching institutions etc. will remain closed.

Online/ distance learning shall continue to be permitted and shall be encouragcd.

Construction activities- All construction activities, civil repair activities are permitted.
b. Works pertaining to pre-monsoon preparation are permitted.
c. All the above activities shall be permitted by strictly adhering to Covid appropriate behavior (CAB) as stipulated in the National Directives for COVID 19 management.

Industries/Industrial establishments –

All industrial units are permitted to operate adhering to Covid appropriate behavior. The movement of staff shall be allowed by producing valid ID/authorization issued by concerned industries/industrial establishment.

Commercial and private establishments –

Shops, including ration shops (PDS), dealing with food, groceries. fruits and vegetables, dairy and milk booths. meat and fish, animal fodder are permitted.

i Capital and debt market services and notified by the Securities and exchange Board of lndia are permitted.

k. Cold storage and warehousing services permitted.

Private security services permitted.

m. Barber shops/Salon/Beauty Parlous permitted with strictly adhering to Covid appropriate behaviour and guidelines issued

There shall be no restriction on inter-State and intraState movement of persons and goods. No separate permission/approval/e-permit will be required for such movements. However, people coming from other states shall strictly adhere to the prevailing Guidelines/SOPs issued by Department

Marriages permitted strictly adhering to COVID 19 Appropriate behavior (CAB) with maximum of 50 people (indoor or outdoors)

Cremation/F-unerals to be allowed with maximum of 20 people.

  1. Very sad but Unavoidable enforcement by the Government, of the Night curfew & the Week-end curfew in & AROUND BELAGAVI CITY. This should go a long way with the participation of the general public to curb this Corona-19 pandemic (2nd wave).

    • only emergency services are allowed so if u cater to those services like transporting a patient or a doctor u can be allowed

  2. If our people only be aware and followed the SOPs of Mask wearing, Hand wash , Sanitizing and safe distance we could have avoided this curfew situation. Hope at least now the people will follow the COVID-19 Rules. and safe guard our family and society from COVID_ 19 second phase, which is spreading like wild fire all over the country.

    • These are allowed with a maximum capacity of 50 people for weddings and 20 at funerals and crematoriums, respectively. Those present must strictly follow Covid-19 norms.
      with the permission of the Tahsildar – permission is imp and only 50 persons
