We were the first ones to cover his project in December 2016, An Engineer Filters the Way to Success

It is a compatible, portable, reusable, healthy and an eco-friendly water purifier. A product that ensures ‘Safe Drinking water ’ at an affordable price. This acts as a filter when the water oozes out of Nirnal fixed to the bottles. It is easy to use, imparts taste and also adds some essential minerals to the water.

Niranjan did his schooling from St. Mary’s school Belagavi and PUC from Govindram Seksaria Science College, Belagavi. Later he joined Angadi Institute of Technology and Management in Belagavi to pursue his bachelors in engineering.

The startups that have been shortlisted will get a funding support of about Rs 35 crore from the government to pursue their tech-ideas and scale them up. Global director, Microsoft Mr. Ravi Narayan rightly was amazed and handed a helping hand financially for Niranjan’s device.

Niranjan believes that such great opportunities have boosted his confidence to bring his startup at another level.

He says “I, never thought I would be getting so much of exposure and chance to meet so many investors, who have shown great interest to invest in my device”.

Ever since the product is in the market 8000 units have been sold. He also has orders from various schools and different parts of the nation. Niranjan plans to take this project to a level where every person gets to drink pure water. Niranjan says in all his ventures his family has been a constant support and has never failed to motivate him. The success of his projects no doubt gives him satisfaction but the urge to contribute more never dies.
