No Oxygen supply to NGO’s – Suppliers informed

Photo of author

The nodal officer has informed the oxygen suppliers not to supply any oxygen to the NGO’s as there is a shortage, and they should only supply to the hospitals.

Since last year many NGO’s have been giving free Oxygen cylinders as a service and it has also helped the needy.

Even at 2 AM in the night request for oxygen cylinders have been fulfilled by the NGOs.

But now as they won’t be supplied any Oxygen they will be helpless as they cant supply any O2 cylinders.

Due to the huge demand, many times the private hospitals have asked the patients to get their own oxygen cylinders as well.

Now with this order the NGO’s will not getting any Oxygen cylinders refilled and hence the patinets getting treatment at home can face acute shortage of Oxygen.

  1. Need to strongly oppose this move. This way Pt. getting treatment at home will suffer a lot.
Instead of Normalising the Situation with adequate uninterrupted supply of oxygen, unnecessary hurdles r created.

  2. In that case let the medical stores supply oxygen cylinders with appropriate identity proof and the medical stores open 24×7 at strategic locations.

  3. The nodal officer is behaving like a dictator. If the hospital demand more ask govt and hospitals why they have not built capacity. What did his team learn from previous wave? Why the district has not built enough capacity in the past….at least now out efforts in putting more production plants …… Because of NGOs many lives were saved in the past by obstruction he is committing a crime!

  4. Just because the govt health system has fallen apart the NGO’s are taking care of the COVID situation in the best way possible without even caring for their life.
Now this nodal officer thinks he is smart enough to handle the situation with such foolish decision. He needs to visit district hospital & get back to basics, useless guy

  5. By cutting oxygen supply to the NGO’s the administration will make poor people suffer because they are not affordable for private hospitals and government hospitals are already over loaded. Sir i request you to please revoke this act at this time.
