The drivers of Ola taxis and auto rikshaws have urged the district administration to provide them protection from the other auto drivers who are threatening them not to run their vehicles on the roads.

Even on earlier occasions such incidents have been reported from CBT, Railway station and else where as well, but the police has never taken any stern action against the attackers.

A memorandum was given to the administration in which it was stated that they give service to the community and charge less than the fare charged by the other autos.

The drivers also said they have all the legal papers and requisite permissions from the govt hence the govt must come forward and give them protection.

People has to avoid auto rickshaws immediately coming outside from railway station. Just a 200 meters walk and you will get other auto/bus/ola etc at almost half price
