Pankh India Foundation Founder Appointed Goodwill Ambassador for Menstrual Hygiene Management by Gramalaya

Founder of Pankh India Foundation Gouree Manjarekar has been appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador for Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) by Gramalaya, an esteemed organization recognized as a National Key Resource Centre by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, RD & GR, Government of India.

The momentous announcement was made during a prestigious event held at the iconic Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Gouree has been a passionate advocate for eradicating period poverty and creating sustainable solutions for menstrual hygiene management across rural India. Total 7 goodwill ambassadors from various states were selected and Gouree represented Karnataka.

Through Pankh India Foundation, Gouree has been dedicated to empowering rural women and girls by providing access to menstrual health education, affordable solutions, and awareness campaigns. This appointment acknowledges her tireless efforts and provides a platform to amplify the Foundation’s mission of uplifting underserved communities.

Speaking on the occasion, Gouree expressed her gratitude to Padmashree Sai Damodaran, the visionary leader behind Gramalaya, for entrusting her with this role. She stated, “This is not just an honor but a profound responsibility to continue advocating for change, creating awareness, and ensuring every woman and girl has access to dignified menstrual hygiene solutions.”
