A comprehensive plan for the development of the Belgaum Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS) worth Rs.100 crore would be made and sent to the CM in some days said Excise Minister and district in-charge Satish L. Jarkiholi. He proposed this as a five year comprehensive development plan.
The minister visited the hospital and inspected the food and also talked with the patients. A CT scan machine would be installed shortly at the hospital he added.
Minister assured agitating workers of the Belgaum Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS) that he would press for the renewal of their job contracts at the earliest possible date.
