In Kanpur the specially constituted Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act court on Thursday decided a case of molestation on the 20th day after the incident. It punished the accused, Rajesh Kumar, with three years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs. 20,000.

Why not give justice to the survivor of the Kadoli incident in such a speedy manner?

A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 26-year-old man Sunil Balu Baynaik at Kadoli near Belagavi on Wednesday evening.

Some angry villagers even demanded that the accused be handed over to them and that they would punish them. Others said that they had no patience to wait for court procedures and demanded that the accused be given a death sentence by the police themselves.
