There are many students, businessmen and residents from North eastern states who are residing in Belgaum, they would be provided appropriate security, said SP Sandeep Patil in a press release. K S Hatti has been appointed as the nodal officer for the same and in case anyone is attacked, threatened they are requested to call this special helpline for the people of North east 9449017380.
Each police station has been told to identify the hostels or places of residence of the people from the North east and provide security to them.
It is a shame when our own brothers & sisters and fellow citizens feel threatened to move about in our own nation. All self respecting citizens of Belgaum, wake up and do your part to make our fellow citizens feel safe. This could happen to you in another part of the country!
