To make it simple for citizens, the Belgaum district police has now allowed the citizens to pay the fees for the police verification/ clearance etc at the Belgaum one counters in the city.
Earlier the citizens had to approach a bank and get a DD and then submit the same at the Police commissioner’s office. Now the citizens can deposit the money at the Belgaum one centers and the receipt will have to submitted at the Police station or commissioner’s office as the case may be.
Citizens need various kinds of verification and criminal antecedent checks; for getting police clearance certificate or police verification certificate for going abroad; for a job in multinational companies; job verification and post-job verification for government vacancies. Police verification certificate is also needed for domestic help/housekeeping, security jobs, marriage alliances, by institutions and companies, for training and apprenticeship, to join NCC/NSS, Class IV security staff, supervisor at airport, for central and state government employees and many other purposes.
