Praveen Karadiguddi and Shilpa Kaluti leading the way in the United Kingdom

The little cozy town of Belagavi has its own little stars who shine by themselves and make a wallop in their sector. Here is the story of two such persons from Belagavi who have now made it big in the United Kingdom.

Praveen Karadiguddi is the CEO and co-founder Scrumconnect Consulting and has been nominated in The LDC UK Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders 2020. The list celebrates leaders who have defied the odds in the face of extreme adversity of Covid-19.

While their CFO and cofounder Shilpa Kaluti has been shortlisted for UK SME National awards Business Woman of the Year 2020.

Praveen Karadiguddi and Shilpa Kaluti are born and brought from Belagavi, and both completed their schooling from St Xaviers High school Belagavi and engineering from KLE engineering college Belagavi. Praveen later did an MBA from Imperial College London.

Speaking to AAB, Praveen said, with over 200 people working for us in the UK, The digital services we have built is touching around 40% of the UK. We are working Major UK public sector departments DWP, the Ministry of Justice, Her Majesty’s Passport office, Homeoffice etc. During Covid we rapidly built Digital services for the UK govt that paid for self isolating pensioners and working Brexit projects.

The UK government’s digital transformation in the words of internet guru Tim O’Reilly, is ‘the bible that all open government should follow’. It is leading the digital transformation of government and one of the key factors is that it is open in tendering and awarding based on merit and so has created a platform for firms like us to flourish. I would love for Indian government to embrace a similar digital transformation for public sector services with citizens’ needs at the heart of it.
