The civic body has also provided an online platform for the city’s residents to type in their suggestions. Those interested could visit the Belagavi Corporation’s website , click on the ‘Smart City Belagavi’ and ‘Suggestions’ to share their ideas. They could also visit the ‘Smartcity Belagavi’ page on facebook.
Belagavi City Corporation will hold a meeting with members of the public, trade bodies, non-government organisations, civil society activists, residents’ welfare associations and others on September 29 to hear their suggestions and ideas for developing the vision document for the Smart City project at Kumar Gandharva Rang Mandir.
commissioner G Prabhu, said Rs 1 lakh cash award will be given to one smart innovative solution while Rs 25,001 to one best proposal. He appealed public to send maximum proposals and solutions as the citizens’ participation is key element in the implementation of Smart City project.
People can give proposals and solutions by meeting face to face to the nodal official in city corporation office, or in written submission or other forms of expressions like social media or mobile polling.
