Ramesh L Jarakiholi Minister for Water Resources and district in-charge minister of Belagavi will have talks on flood situations during monsoon with his counterpart in Maharashtra Jayant Patil on Wednesday on July 8 in Mumbai.
The two leaders are scheduled to discuss measures to be taken during flood situations- to devise control and monitoring mechanism- of Krishna and Bhima rivers.
They will chalk-out steps for better understanding and coordination between the officers of the two States at the times of spate of these two rivers.
Sharing of Krishna waters during summer and notification of the Krishna Tribunal Award are also on the agenda of their talks.
The Minister for Textiles Shrimant Patil and the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government Rakesh Singh would be accompanying Jarakiholi during the visit and participate in the discussions.
