Dismissing rumors about a delay in the reopening of schools, BC Nagesh, minister for primary and secondary education said schools will reopen as scheduled on May 16.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, he said schools will kick off with a learning recovery program, which will be held throughout the year.
There were representations from politicians to put off school reopening because of the heatwave in North Karnataka. However, school associations requested the government not to heed this. Private schools are also open to using the learning recovery program; the learning resources are available on the department website.
The school management and parents have expressed unhappiness over no official guidelines or circular being received for the reopening of schools.
Karnataka SSLC Results 2022 for class 10 are likely to release on 19th May 2022.
