Teachers to work from home due to rising #COVID19 cases: S Suresh Kumar, Karnataka Education Minister
Suresh Kumar has said that the dates of the exams will be announced in the coming days for the PUC 2.
Speaking after meeting with department officials in the assembly hall on Tuesday, he said the exam dates will be announced 15-20 days before the exams begin.
The first PU exam, which was scheduled to be conducted after the secondary PU exams, has been canceled in the wake of Covid.
Bridge courses will be held before the start of the next academic year for these students. The bridge courses will be made available through the department’s You Tube channels, he added.
Lecturers are advised to work from home as they are in regular contact with students in the wake of postponing exams.
They should always be available for all administrative procedures, including regular contact with students, discussing departmental coursework with them. Suresh Kumar also said that lecturers who are engaged in Covid duties have to fulfill their Covid responsibilities.
Previously it was decided to conduct secondary PUC annual exams from May 24 to June 16. All preparations have been made to conduct examinations at 5562 colleges in 1047 centers across the state.
