Separate COVID care center at Taluka level now: 768 beds

Separate COVID Care Centers have been opened in 10 taluks of the district to facilitate the isolation of asymptomatic COVID infected people. Similarly, 30 beds with oxygen in each taluk hospital have been set up, said District Collector MG Hiremath.

The establishment of COVID Care Center in 10 taluks will be for asymptomatic patients only. Already treatment for the asymptomatic has been started in Bailhongal, Savadatti, Ramadurga and Gokak and a team of doctors has been deployed.

Patients with Serious cases and treatment needs will be admitted to BIMS Belagavi. 768 beds are available at the Ten COVID Care Center.

ESI hospital with 25 beds and the KLE hospital has 65 beds for COVID care. Hiremath said that another 30 beds have been requested to ease the pressure on BIMS.

Another 100 beds have been increased at the District Hospital.

All patients other than COVID will be sent to private hospitals under the government scheme.

21 deaths have been reported in the district.

33,271 sample tested so far in the district

28950 reports came negative, and 795 were infected. So far 507 people have recovered.

There have been 21 deaths so far in the district and our priority is to prevent these deaths.

The district has got a thousand Rapid Antigen Kits, which will show the result in fifteen minutes of sample testing. They would be used in testing soon. 

Great care has been exercised in the case of funerals or funerals for the family. All sorts of caution will be taken.

An inquiry into the death of an elderly man at the district hospital has been ordered.

Hiremath added that patients with respiratory problems should be sent to BIMS Hospital immediately by a private hospital.

The number of sample testing has been increased. So there has been an increase in the proportion of those infected. There is no need to worry.

The district has so far registered 161 cases against violators of the Quarantine Code.

    Punish quarantine violators to the fullest extent of the law.
    Then jail them for a particular period of time.
    Then fine them a good amount and put those fines towards china flu care.
    IMHO.
