With the rising numbers of patients in the district, the administration is looking at increasing the beds for the patients.
The District hospital which can handle about 300 beds is now fully occupied and hence a new facility at the Morarji Desai school at Halbhavi was established for asymptotic patients which has a capacity of 80 beds.
Today City Corporation commissioner visited the ESI hospital at Ashok Nagar and a 25 bed COVID care center would be established there.
A 24×7 medical staff would be present at the center.
