On Saturday, a team of senior officials from the Public Works Department conducted a site inspection for the construction of a well-equipped multi-storied building in the heart of the city. The building will house various government offices, including the District Collectors office. The team, led by Chief Architect R. Sridhar, inspected the proposed site and gathered necessary information.
The project is being undertaken under the direction of Satish Jarkiholi, Minister of Public Works Department, with the aim of bringing various offices under one roof and providing basic amenities, including ample parking.
The plan includes various offices, such as CADA, Horticulture, Deputy Registrars office, Small Savings, Library, Lokayukta, Deputy Divisional Officers office, and Taluk Panchayat, to make way for the multi-storied building.
The minister had previously discussed the project during a meeting at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha and instructed officials to inspect the site. The team led by the Chief Architect of the Public Works Department was dispatched accordingly.
During the inspection, Chief Architect R. Sridhar met with DC Belagavi Nitesh Patil to discuss the requirements, design, and other issues related to the proposed building. The project aims to promote the development of the district and provide a modern, efficient workspace for government officials.
The construction of this multi-storied building is a significant step towards improving the infrastructure and services provided by the government in the heart of the city under one roof.
