The work for ” Development of the Smart classroom (civil and ICT part)” commenced at 8 government schools under Smart City Proposal in presence of South MLA Shri Abhay Patil and North MLA Shri Anil Benake along with Smart City officers.
This project has a total fund of RS. 5.39Cr. and the same is taken up in two phases.
The works that have started now are for phase-I.
Cost of phase-I is RS 3.92 Cr.
Components will Include full fledged renovation of selected classrooms in civil part with flooring, false ceiling, wall finishing, air-conditioning, waterproofing, fixing of new doors and windows with full UPS back up.
ICT part will include 20 nos of computer science, e library kiosk, student workstations, teacher and student chair, LED screen touch board which can be integrated with the Command and control centre.
The systems will be updated with softwares of syllabus of English, Kannada, Marathi and Urdu language.
Teachers will be given trainings for operation.
The maintenance of the smart classroom is given to contractor for5 tears after completion of work.
