The lone flight from Belagavi to the nation’s capital Delhi by Spicejet airlines has been stopped from December 10.
As per sources, the flight has been canceled up to February 2023, as the airline is having a shortage of planes, and it has also stopped some other routes for the same reason.
The said service was very popular and since it commenced in April 46,850 passengers utilized the same.
The lone connection to Delhi will stop from December 10, which will hamper the businessmen, Army personnel, and others for whom this flight was a blessing as in 2.20 hours one could reach Delhi and then they could take their onward journey if any, and reach their destination on the very same day.
Apart from this route, this was the only BIG Boeing plane landing and taking off from IXG, all the others like Indigo use smaller aircraft such as ATR-72-600 and Starair uses the Embraer.
I see this coming at the time when Hubli Delhi flight being launched recently. Needless to elaborate the reason.
