In reply to the question asked by MP Iranna Kadadi, the Minister Of Tourism G. Kishan Reddy has replied that Sri Renuka Yallamma Temple, Saudatti, Belagavi District has been identified to be under the Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD) scheme however No financial sanction has been issued in respect of the above mentioned projects.

Development of tourism is primarily the responsibility of respective State Governments/UT Administrations and the Ministry of Tourism has not sent any proposal of financial assistance to the State Government of Karnataka for development of Tourism. However, the Ministry of Tourism under its schemes of ‘Swadesh Darshan’ and ‘National Mission on Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD)’ provides financial assistance to State Governments/UT Administrations etc. for development of tourism infrastructure in the country.
