Subham Kothiwale from Belagavi killed in an accident in Kolkata

Subham Kothiwale, 23, a software engineer with Tata Consultancy Services and originally from Belagavi was killed when he rammed into a crash barrier on a road in New Town, Kolkata before hitting the divider late on Wednesday.

Shubham was headed towards Sukhobrishti housing complex in New Town’s Action Area III from the Unitech bus stop when the accident occurred around 2am.

Subham rammed into a guardrail near Uniworld City that had no reflectors or warning lights. He was flung off the vehicle and his head hit a road divider.

The crash barriers Kohiwale rammed into did not have any reflectors or warning lights to alert two-wheeler riders or motorists.

Cops place the barriers in a zigzag manner to slow down vehicles.

  1. Kolkata is one of our countries metro city and capital of west Bengal and there is no reflectors or warning lights on the barriers where Shubham met with the accident and died. For this who is responsible ? May God rest his soul in peace. Condolences to his family.

In Belgaum also it is the same .Zig zag barricades are kept and some times from distance they are not visible when lights are not there especially in early morning when we go for walks.Spead breakers are not having zibra strips and have become accident spots.Authorities should wake up before it is too late.
