BELGAUM: The sugarcane farmers from various regions today took out a march in the city from Chennamma Circle to R C nagar and it ended at the house of Sugar minister Prakash Hukkeri.
Traffic on the entire stretch of road from 3rd gate to Chennamma Circle was very badly affected due to this.
The march of the farmers was peaceful and their demand is that govt give them Rs.3500 as the price. But the govt is not responding favorably to this demand. This is the fourth day of their stir and on the first three days they blocked the National highways.
