Suvarna soudha to be opened on Oct 11

The president Pranab Mukherjee will formally inagurate the Suvarna Soudha on October 11, 2012.
He will also address the joint session of the legislature which will cost Rs.2 crore.
The president is also likely to lay the foundation stone for the Vivekanand memrorial at Swami Vivekanand marg in the heart of the city.
The President is also scheduled to give away the Jnanapeetha award to noted writer Chandrashekara Kambara.

Besides the Assembly and Council halls, Suvarna Soudha has a central hall with a seating capacity of 450, where both the Houses can meet.
It has a banquet hall, an auditorium with a seating capacity of 350, a conference hall with a capacity of 150 seats and 15 committee rooms. The total built up area is 60,000 sq mtrs.

  1. That’s a good news. By seeing the upcoming residential (plot) projects around Suvarna Soudha, it seems “New Belgaum” is on its ways on the lines of Navi Mumbai, Noida/NCR.
