Swimmers from Belagavi Make a Splash at the National Masters Swimming Championship 2023

In an awe-inspiring display of skill and determination, the swimmers from Swimmers Club Belagavi showcased their exceptional abilities at the highly anticipated 19th National Masters Swimming Championship. This prestigious event, hosted by the Karnataka Swimming Association, unfolded from the 24th to 26th of November 2023 at the state-of-the-art multilevel Olympic-size swimming pool located in Yemmekere, Mangalore.

The star performers from Swimmers Club Belagavi, namely Mr. Laxman Kumbhar, Mr. Indrajeet Halgekar, and Mrs. Minal Patil, etched their names in the annals of championship success.

Mr. Laxman Kumbhar, a true exemplar of excellence, clinched an impressive trio of Silver medals in the 50m and 100m breaststroke, as well as the 50m butterfly events.

Mr. Indrajeet Halgekar, displaying his prowess in the pool, secured a Silver medal in the fiercely contested 100m backstroke.

Mrs. Minal Patil, adding to the club’s triumph, earned a well-deserved Silver medal in the 100m breaststroke category.

Swimmers Club Belagavi, with their remarkable performance, clinched a total of 5 Silver Medals:

– Laxman Kumbhar: 3 Silver Medals
– Indrajeet Halgekar: 1 Silver Medal
– Minal Patil: 1 Silver Medal

Each of these exceptional swimmers has demonstrated unwavering dedication and hard work in the field of swimming. They receive expert guidance at KLE’s Suvarna JNMC Swimming Pool in Belagavi, which is equipped with an Olympic-sized facility. The swimmers are fortunate to be under the watchful eyes of esteemed coaches Umesh Kalghatgi, Akshay Sheregar, Ajinkya Mendke, Nitish Kuduchkar, Govardhan Kakatkar, and Imran Uchgaonkar.
