The pedestrian underpass at court which was recently inaugurated has received very luke warm response from the citizens. The Bar association which had boycotted the inaugural function have seldom used this underpass. The Bar association says that the underpass is impractical and unfeasible. They say they had demanded for the underpass from JMFC and Sessions courts as the distance was 50 feet but if one uses the underpass it is now 250 feet.
Even when this underpass lies practically un utilized the district administration is taking forward the making of another similar underpass at fish market.
It may be recalled there was an overbridge on college Road near Yende Khoot which was never utilised and eventually the same was removed and then sold in scrap. If the same continues the fate of the underpass could be similar.
