The fourteenth session of the fifteenth Legislative Assembly will be held from December 19th to 30th at Belagavi.
This is the tenth session that is currently taking place in Belagavi. Seven sessions have been held in Suvarna Vidhan Soudha and two have been held outside said the Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri.
This time, an important session is taking place in Belagavi. As there are no Covid-19 restrictions, all the activities of the proceedings, including the question and answer session, the null session, and the passing of the bill, will be conducted as per schedule.
Six bills are being brought to this session. Two of these bills have already been presented and the process will be discussed and approved. Additionally, four new bills have been introduced. If there are any other bills, the government will introduce them.
Preparations are already underway to ensure the session runs smoothly and efficiently. Necessary instructions have been given to the officials to ensure that the session is conducted without any kind of loopholes.
Accommodation, food, and transportation will be arranged in an exemplary manner, based on the experience of the last session. Discussions have been held with the officers of all the concerned departments and directions have been given for the smooth running of the House’s activities.
The public will be given the opportunity to watch the proceedings free of charge. Entry will be granted upon presentation of the required identity card at the entrance.
On the first day, tributes will be paid to the departed dignitaries.
It has also been decided to select the best MLA after becoming the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. The Best MLA Award will be presented during this session in Belagavi. The selection for the Best MLA Award will be based on the report given by the selection committee.
Furthermore, more opportunities will be provided for discussion of the issues of the entire Karnataka, particularly those of North Karnataka. Appropriate days will be decided.
The Suvarna Vidhana Soudha should be put to good use during the remaining period outside of the session. There are opinions that activities should be carried out cheerfully throughout the year. Various issues, including the construction of MLAs House, will be discussed at the government level and appropriate steps will be taken.
Ministers and MLAs must attend the proceedings of the session, unless they are granted permission to be absent due to exigent circumstances. I do not agree with the notion that any representatives should not participate in the House. All representatives should cooperate to maintain the sanctity of democracy.
The purpose of the Parliamentary Path Session is to fulfill the aspirations of the people. Therefore, in response to the sentiments of the people, it is requested that everyone should participate in the House compulsorily in order to ensure that the wishes of the people are heard and respected.
