On April 7, 2018 we had published a story Two students robbed at knife point at Honaga, and it has come to a logical conclusion today with the robbers in jail.
On last Tuesday at around 9.30 PM two friends who had been there to the point were approached by two locals who asked for a lighter and spoke at ease and then later looted them at knife point. Both of them had to do away with all their money(Rs.5000) and watch.
The police who had not filed an FIR filed one after the news was published in AAB and the New Indian Express.
The accused arrested are Bhairu Naik(19) and Ganesh Naik (17).
The police swiftly acted and nabbed the two persons today and are currently lodged in jail.
Sources say the thieves have accepted that they have robbed the students. The police is throughly investigating the matter and trying to ascertain if the suspects arrested were involved in similar cases earlier.
The Kakti police station is investigating the matter.
