Unlock 3 new guidelines from July 5

The group of ministers (GoM) on Covid-19 headed by chief minister BS Yediyurappa has decided on the following for the third level of unlock relaxations, following which the government is expected to release guidelines.

From 5 am of July 5 – 5 am 19 July

All shops, restaurants, offices can open upto 8 PM so that all go home by 9 pm before curfew

Religious places to open for Darshan no sevas allowed

Marriage/family functions allowed with 100 persons maximum

Cremation – 20 person max

Night curfew – 9 pm to 5 am

No Weekend Curfew

Bars can open

Buses with full capacity

Cinema Halls closed

Swiming pools open for sportspersons

Large Gatherings not allowed

Belagavi’s very own Ganesha carnival

Schools/ colleges/coaching institutions to remain closed

No permission for religious procession, protests and political rallies

Guidelines for surveillance! containment and caution (As per GO No. RD 158 TNR 2020, dated 03-07- 2021)

l. ln areas outside the containment Zones,, all activities will be permitted, except the following:

i. Theatres/Cinema halls and Pubs.

ii. Swimming pools permitted for competitive training purposes only strictly adhering to COVID 19 appropriate behavior and SOPs issued by the concerned departments.

iii. Sports complexes and stadia shall be opened only for practice purpose strictly adhering to COVID 19 appropriate protocol and spectators will not be allowed.

iv. All social/ political/ sports/ entertainment/ academic/ cultural/ religious functions/ other gatherings and large congregations.

v. Marriages/Family Functions are permitted to be conducted involving not more than 100 people and strictly adhering to COVID 19 appropriate behavior and prevailing guidelines issued by State Government.

vi. Cremation/funerals to be allowed strictly adhering to COVID 19 appropriate with a maximum of 20 people.

vii. Religious places are allowed to open only for Darshan. No sevas allowed.

viii. Public transport allowed to operate up to seating capacity.

ix. All shops, iestaurants, malls, private offices, closed places to strictly enforce COVID appropriate behaviour failing which action will be initiated under the Disaster Management Act, 2005.

x. All educational intuitions/tutorials/colleges remain closed until further order.

2. Night Curfew will continue to be imposed from 9 pm to 5 am in the State as per the guidelines annexed as Annexure A. –

3. COVID Appropriate Behavior a) BBMP and District & Local Authorities shall take all necessary measures to promote COVID-19 appropriate behaviour. Strict enforcement of wearing of face masks, hand hygiene and social distancing must be ensured. b) Wearing of face masks is an essential preventive measure. In order to enforce this core requirement, BBMP, District Authorities and Local Authorities shall impose fine of Rs.250 in Municipal Corporation Areas and Rs.100 in other areas for not wearing face cover as required. c) The National Directives for COVID-19 Management shall be strictly followed throughout the State.

Guidelines for night curfew

The movement of individuals shall remain strictly prohibited between 9.00 pm to 5.00 am, except for essential activities.

Patients and their attendants/persons requiring emergency need for movement shall be allowed to move.

All industries/companies which require operations at night shall be permitted to operate. Movement of employees of such organizations shall be allowed on producing valid ID card authorization issued by their respective Organization/Institution. Employees and vehicles of Telecom and Internet Service providers. shall be allowed movement on producing valid ID card issued by their respective organization/institution. Only essential staff/employees of of IT and ITeS companies organization shall work from office. Rest will work from home. Medical, emergency and essential services including pharmacies shall be fully functional and other commercial activities are prohibited. There shall be no restriction in movement of all types of goods through trucks, goods vehicles or any goods carriers, including empty vehicles.

Home delivery of goods and operations of E-Commerce companies are allowed.

Movement of buses, trains and air travel are permitted. Movement of Public Transport, private vehicles and taxis to and from airports, bus terminals/bus stand, railway stations, etc, allowed, for facilitating allowed only on displaying valid travel document.

    I want to travel by car from Belgaum to Goa. and return on the same day within next two weeks. What documents do I require?

    It was like this before april. Government IS to blame for what we went through. At this point after all the data/info has been released only shills for the government and people that choose to be ignorant will say otherwise. And now 15 crores have been spent to hold bye elections. Where was that cash during oxygen and bed shortages??? To date the government is f-bad word-ing around. Having typed that I agree. The few that don’t follow the rules must buck up and do so. I feel it would be even better to bring the army in and request them to patrol the streets if there are a few to spare. Any one and EVERYONE seen not adhering to the rules arrest them immediately.
    That’s just me though 🤷‍♂️
