The highly anticipated trial run of the KSR Bengaluru-Belagavi Vande Bharat Express successfully took place on November 21st, 2023. This state-of-the-art train, renowned for its speed and efficiency, embarked on its maiden journey from KSR Bengaluru to Belagavi and back without any complications.
However, many are now questioning why the Vande Bharat train service has not yet commenced. There could be various factors contributing to this, primarily related to the maintenance of such trains at Belagavi station.
The Belagavi Railway account X, a rail fanning account associated with Belagavi, mentioned the following points:
1. Inauguration during Session, CM will take credit.
2. Building a Watering and catering facility at Belagavi Station is underway.
3. All 4 VB extensions at once by PM.
4. Rake Changes.
The rest of the infrastructure is ready to support the operation of the Vande Bharat Express. Another user on X, Hulikavishri, mentioned that after the Water Filling facility, there is more big news coming regarding OHE Poles coming to the Pitline for premium train maintenance.
Currently, it appears that the Vande Bharat Train service, which will be extended from Dharwad to Belagavi, will commence shortly. Some infrastructure works required for the maintenance of such premium trains have been undertaken, and we can expect the Vande Bharat service to commence from Belagavi, if not in the last week of December 2023, then in the first week of 2024.
