An escort vehicle, pilot vehicle was provided by the police at the Karnataka Maharashtra border.

However due to some confusion there were no health officers at the Vaccine Depot to receive the consignment.

A security guard at the depot made a phone call to District reproductive child health officer Ishwar Gadad who is in charge of immunization to send someone to the spot.

A bit later the officer came along with another two of his staff members and said there was some confusion in the time of arrival as it was told to be 6 am to them.

From Belagavi, they will be sent to 29 block vaccine stores and 671 cold-chain points in Bagalkot, Gadag, Koppal, Vijayapura, Dharwad, Haveri, and Uttara Kannada districts.
