Today at the hearing of the Hon’ble High court Bengaluru Bench regarding the Vaccine Depot, the judge said we have to hear the matter for the final hearing and would be listed on 22nd Sept for final hearing. No modification of stay order as prayed by a smart city.
Today the Smart city sought modification of stay order stating that they have kept plants ready and they want to plant trees.
The petitioners submitted that the smart city is not formed for planting trees but for projects.
Judge asked which projects and all the projects were listed out.
Then the petitioners drew the attention of the court to 6th July 2009 order and submitted that then the govt wanted to construct Suvarna Soudha and the people of Belagavi opposed the same. So govt aborted suvarana Soudha plan and passed an order to reserve the Vaccine depot as a Botanical garden.
On hearing this judge said we have to hear the matter for the final hearing and listed on 22 nd Sept for the final hearing. No modification of stay order as prayed by smart city.
Public interest litigation was filed by Adv Kiran Kulkarni and Satish Biradar on behalf of Rajeev Toppannavar and other members of the Save Vaccine depot organization.
Mr Kiran kulkarni don’t allow the smart city people to occupy the vaccine depot
It is the lung space if belgaum and since ages the trees are tere and protected well at any cost don’t allow them to take it ove r
We have seen the trees felling where we have seen barren lands now and the smart city projects the road construction is horrible previous roads were much better
We have to save vaccine Depot for us as well as the generations to come
