Vaccine depot is a heritage asset for Belgaum and also works as lungs for the city but people still dont understand the importance of this GREEN ZONE in the center of the city. Large scale boozing, smoking and above all throwing all the waste there itslef is causing a nuisance and even after repeated complaints and even stories made by us like Boozers destroying nature Who cares.
While the city’s bars may be doing brisk business, liquor is also consumed on a huge scale in open places is common in the city. Though the police have taken action against such spots in the past, it has been infrequent and things moved back to square one in a matter of no time.
Youths huddle themselves in groups and are often found consuming liquor here in Vaccine depot along with smoking. Young lads were also seen smoking who from their physique looked to school going children.
Unaware of the technicalities, local citizens are demanding that drinking in the open be banned in the city.
The police who guard the minister’s house at about 50 mtrs from this place should also take care of this and reduce such instances.
A few citizens now have decided to rename the Vaccine depot to Boozers depot.
Wat about the Glass House which is to be made in depot….
