The village of Goundwad erupted in a violent way on Saturday evening when two groups clashed again and this time it turned violent with vehicles being torched over a dispute on the Temple land.
One person identified as Satish Patil (37) was stabbed to death.
Four cars, a tractor, two tempos, and a haystack were set ablaze and houses were stoned.
As per the Commissioner of police, the violence was triggered yesterday after a parking dispute near the temple where Satish Patil was stabbed and succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
Police presence was there in the village when a scuffle erupted last Saturday, but after 11.30 pm last night it turned violent.
The dispute is over the Temple land which is amongst a few families and the villagers and about 2 years ago it had come to the fore but after some intervention, the situation had calmed down.
The police have now arrested around 15 persons last night after the violence.
